Next Gen Alpha - Stroud - Term 2 - Session Three

Alpha Group runs on Wednesdays, 10 - 11am, during school term times.

Join our friendly Lab Tech and a community of young learners in exploring how the technology around us works, and what we can do with it. We provide an opportunity to get hands-on with practical electronics, digital art, 3D modelling and printing, computer programming, games design, video and audio recording and editing, and more. In anything from recording a podcast to building a robot, this is a creative space where we explore ideas from the ground up, and find practical and inventive solutions to problems. If you're a complete beginner, we'll help you get started. And if you already have some experience, then we'll give you the tools to progress further. We're excited to see what you create!

These sessions are aimed towards home educated children.

Suitable for people aged 7 - 14. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential.

TICKETS: £35 each (£5 per child, per session)

To ensure availability for everyone, please only book onto one group, Alpha or Bravo.

Please note, all sales for paid events are final. This includes ‘pay what you choose’. Refunds are only given in limited circumstances:

Join us for a cosy and calming story time at Stow Library, perfect for winding down before bed. This special session is designed for ages 4-7 and their favourite teddy. Settle in for soothing stories that will spark the imagination and help little ones drift off to sleep. Please note that booking is required for children only.

Join our volunteer leaders  to learn Web or Python programming languages.  Children may choose one or other depending on their interests.  The Web languages will be HTML and CSS with lots of projects to build different types of web pages.  The python modules will introduce all the concepts of this powerful language using lots of fun coding example projects.

Suitable for children aged 11-14 (or younger if they are proficient Scratch coders).
