Drop in and work on your game with support from our friendly Lab techs and others in the group. No prior coding experience is necessary.

Learn to code at Longlevens Library. Take your first steps into coding as you explore the world of coding languages all at your own pace, with the support of our friendly volunteers. Progress through step-by-step projects & create games and animations using Scratch. 

Suitable for ages 7 - 14 years.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please only book a space for the amount of people wanting to take part.

If you suddenly can't make it, please cancel your space so another child can attend as there is limited availability.

Join our volunteer leaders  to learn Web or Python programming languages.  Children may choose one or other depending on their interests.  The Web languages will be HTML and CSS with lots of projects to build different types of web pages.  The python modules will introduce all the concepts of this powerful language using lots of fun coding example projects.

Suitable for children aged 11-14 (or younger if they are proficient Scratch coders).

These sessions are free. Booking is essential as spaces are limited.

Code Club is a relaxed session, aimed at children aged 8+ to attend with their parents. Follow your coding interests with support from our volunteers.

Get started with coding in Make Code Arcade.

It's an easy to learn, block code environment and great fun too. We'll be working to develop your game over the weeks, so that by the end of term you will have a game to show to friends and family. 

If you're already a confident coder, you can level up to Gdevelop5 and take your games even further.

It's a really fun and friendly group, where we all help each other learn.

As a guide, these sessions are suitable for ages 6 - 10, but we appreciate that children develop at their own pace.
