Would you like to make new friends? Would you like to learn new things in a welcoming, informal and fun environment?  Why not come along to a new club for older people at Gloucester Library on the last Thursday of the month.

The aim of this group is to hold a different session each month on a wide variety of subjects. These would take the form of a talk, a discussion or, occasionally, even a local guided tour.  Sessions would start at 10:30 with coffee and a chance to chat and get to know the other members of the group, with a more formal session starting promptly at 11:00 for one hour.  Pop in and have a chat with our staff for details.

An informal group that anyone is welcome to join.

A social activity for people who would otherwise struggle to access library services themselves.  Staff and volunteers will be on hand to help people to choose reading/listening materials or use a library computer.  

We hold the group on the first Friday of every month at 10.00am.  Refreshments are provided and everyone is welcome.

Transport is also provided if needed, but does need to be booked in advance. Please contact the library for more information.

Library Littles offers a magical space for early years children (aged 0-5 years) and their guardians to delight in reading, sensory play, and song. 
Designed to support early language development and pre-literacy skills, Library Littles focuses on a relaxed ‘learning through play’ approach, fostering opportunities for children to express themselves creatively and imaginatively.

What to Expect:   
• Interactive storytelling and songs with our Library Assistants  
• A range of toys and equipment for your child to explore and interact with  
• Exciting themes such as ‘Under the Sea’, ‘Out in Space’ and ‘Jungle Safari’  
• It’s FREE to attend. 

Children must be accompanied by an adult but please only book a space for the child attending. Spaces are limited: Please cancel your booking if you can’t attend.
