Join the team from Stroud Book Festival at the library and help us celebrate 35 years of everyone’s favourite patchwork elephant at these free story time sessions.

Sit back and immerse yourself in the colourful world of Elmer as storyteller Vickie Long brings his exciting adventures to life, celebrating themes of friendship, diversity, and self-acceptance.

Afterwards join the library team to take part in a fun elephant themed craft!

The event is suitable to children aged 3 - 6 years.

This event is free however spaces are limited so booking is essential.

Come and explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths in these super fun interactive workshops for 8 – 12 year olds. We cover a huge range of science-y topics through hands on creating and experimenting. Why do planes fly? How long would it take a cat to fall from a plane, and will it be okay? What even ARE bubbles and how can we make them better? Can I turn my sister into a drum kit? If you have a question, even better! Bring it along and we will figure out the answers, together.

It's free to attend, but if you would like to support us look for the donation boxes at our events. Your donation goes towards more fun, free, and educational events in the future.

You are encouraged to enjoy the fun with your child. Adults do not need to book a ticket.

Let's explore Science, Tech, Engineering, Art and Maths!

Join us for fun and friendly science play led by our experienced lab tech, Seth.

As a guide, these sessions are suitable for ages 5 - 10, but we appreciate that children develop at their own pace.

A parent or guardian over the age of 16 must stay with the child throughout the session.

An interactive story session based on prehistoric myths. Find out about ancient tales and then make up your own to tell around the campfire! 

Suitable for Ages 7+ 

Children must be accompanied by an adult but please only book a space for the child attending.

If you suddenly can't make the event, please cancel your booking to enable another child to attend (as there are limited spaces available).
