Summary

Some dark and sinister mystery surrounds wealthy financier Milton Vaizey, who has taken extensive security precautions to guard the grounds of his house. Despite these, however, his secretary is shot dead through the window by a rifleman hidden outside - is this the nameless adversary whom Vaizey fears?
