The sculpture of William Turnbull

Davidson, Amanda A.2005
Book
Turnbull began as a sculptor who was influenced by primitive and totemic art. He moved on to colour field painting and then minimalist structures and Caro-like painted structures. He claims a spiritual dimension through his deep interest in Eastern philosophy which has had a clear impact upon his art.
