Biography/History:
Laurie Krebs is a seasoned traveller and former teacher from Connecticut, USA. Laurie's first title for Barefoot Books was the very successful We All Went on Safari (9781841487823), which won the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Best Book of the Year Gold Award 2004, received a Teacher's Choice Award from Learning Magazine in 2003 and won the Best Book of the Year Award 2003 from Child Magazine. She has extended her series of titles to include We're Sailing to Galapagos (9781846861017), Off We Go to Mexico (9781905236398), and We're Sailing Down the Nile (9781846860393). Helen Cann has worked as an illustrator since graduating from the School of Art, University of Wales in 1992. Her additional titles with Barefoot include The Lady of Ten Thousand Names: Goddess Stories from Many Cultures (HB: 9781841480473) and A Forest of Stories (PB: 9781841488066), and her newest title, Fireside Stories (9781846860645).
